These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DoggyStylists.co.uk (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or purchasing a listing, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Platform

DoggyStylists.co.uk is an online directory that allows dog grooming businesses (“Businesses”) to create listings and allows users (“Users”) to discover those services.

We act solely as an intermediary platform and are not a party to any transaction, agreement, or service provided by listed Businesses.

2. Eligibility

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements
  • Any business you represent is legitimate and authorised to operate

3. Nature of the Service

  • We provide listing and discovery tools only
  • We do not:
    • Vet, endorse, or guarantee any Business
    • Verify qualifications, insurance, or certifications
    • Monitor or control services provided by Businesses

Users engage Businesses at their own risk.

4. Business Listings

4.1 Accuracy of Information

Businesses are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their listings.

4.2 Content Standards

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Is false, misleading, or deceptive
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Is unlawful, offensive, or defamatory

We reserve the right to remove or modify content at our discretion.

4.3 Right to Remove Listings

We may suspend or remove listings without notice if:

  • They breach these Terms
  • They pose risk to users or the Platform
  • Required by law

5. User Responsibility

Users acknowledge that:

  • Any engagement with a Business is entirely at their own discretion and risk
  • It is their responsibility to:
    • Verify credentials and insurance
    • Assess suitability of services
    • Agree terms directly with the Business

6. Payments and Subscriptions

  • Listings may be offered on a subscription basis via WooCommerce and Stripe or equivalent providers
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled

Pricing Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing:

  • No more than £2 per month increase per year
  • With at least 30 days’ notice

7. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time
  • Cancellation prevents future billing
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods unless required by law

8. Intellectual Property

  • Businesses retain ownership of their content
  • By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
    • Display
    • Distribute
    • Promote your listing

9. Platform Availability

We aim for continuous availability but:

  • Do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • May suspend access for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss of profits, revenue, business, or opportunity
  • Any indirect or consequential loss
  • Any damages arising from:
    • Use of or reliance on the Platform
    • Services provided by listed Businesses
    • Interactions between Users and Businesses

We do not accept responsibility for:

  • The quality, safety, legality, or delivery of services by Businesses
  • Any injury, loss, or damage arising from services obtained through the Platform

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DoggyStylists from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your content or services

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may include links to third-party websites or services.
We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

13. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.

14. Changes to the Platform

We reserve the right to:

  • Change how listings are displayed

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
